Day 4 of 365

Methotrexate Injection Day
Today is the day- (Friday) that I take my weekly injection of Methotrexate. I had tried this medication early in my diagnosis and hated the side effects. I discontinued it after three injections. Only after really researching it on RA Warrior's site, owned by Kelly Young, Methotrexate and RA and American College of Rheumatology as well as other sites, did I take the "plunge" again. (Pun intended). I truly feel as if my body has been jonesing for this therapy for about 3 days now. Who woulda thunk, I would give myself an injection!? I am stoic and can take injections, but was never able to watch, giving them to yourself, well, you have to watch. For those who are squeamish, I did not take a picture o the actual injection THIS time, but I am warming you up! I take this injection once a week, there is bound to be an actual injection photo in one of these days of blogging. Again, many thanks to Kelly Young at Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior for allowing me to use her site as reference. Again, drug treatments and options for RAD are a personal choice. and I am by no means a doctor but, It is my body, and while I choose one medication for my body, and you may choose another, I will always respect your decision, as I would hope you respect mine.
